Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
Welcome to PTIAS ("Company", "we", "our", "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it.
2. Information We Collect
Our application is designed with your privacy as a priority. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data from your Jira instance, including but not limited to ticket details, comments, or project information.
The only information we collect and store is:
- Jira Account ID: We store your unique Atlassian-provided Jira Account ID to identify you as a licensed user of our application.
- Monthly Activity Flag: To facilitate our billing model, we store a simple boolean (true/false) flag for your account each calendar month. This flag is set to "true" the first time you use the "record/stop" time-logging function within that month. This is the sole piece of usage data we track, and it is used exclusively for determining "active user" status for billing.
We do not have access to, nor do we desire access to, any other data from your Jira account or your personal machine.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the limited information we collect for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account.
- To provide you with our services.
- To process payments and manage billing based on active monthly usage.
- To respond to your inquiries and offer support.
4. Will Your Information Be Shared With Anyone?
We do not sell, rent, or trade any of your information with third parties for their promotional purposes. We may share your Jira Account ID and billing status with third-party service providers who perform services for us or on our behalf, such as payment processing (e.g., Stripe) and cloud hosting (e.g., Supabase), and who require access to such information to do that work.
5. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?
We keep your Jira Account ID and historical billing activity flags for as long as your account is active with us. We may retain this information for a reasonable period thereafter in order to comply with our legal and accounting obligations.
6. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?
We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of the limited personal information we process. These measures include:
- Data in Transit: All communication between the Jira Companion desktop application, our servers, and the Atlassian Jira servers is encrypted using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS), also known as HTTPS. This ensures that your data cannot be intercepted as it travels over the internet.
- Data at Rest: All sensitive information stored on our servers, including your Jira Account ID and billing status, is encrypted before it is saved to our database. This means that even in the unlikely event of a direct database breach, the stolen data would be unreadable without the corresponding decryption keys.
However, please also remember that we cannot guarantee that the internet itself is 100% secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.
7. Your Privacy Rights
You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time. If you are a resident in the European Economic Area (EEA) or UK and you believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you have the right to complain to your Member State data protection authority or UK data protection authority.
