Managing several teams and projects in Jira can be overwhelming, especially when it comes to tracking time and effort. We created the PTIAS desktop companion to help teams log their time effortlessly, maintain clear issue hierarchies, and gain insights into their productivity. Our mission is to empower agile teams to focus on what they do best - delivering value - while we take care of the efforts and time management complexities.
Our story
It started with a simple un-answered question
During years of product and projects management, leading R&D teams, there was always this one annoying question we could never answer - How much time did each team member invest on a feature / epic / story ? So we kept on telling ourselves that the effort estimations are the most accurate numbers we can get. But does it really have to be so complicated?
We love Jira, we really do!
But some things can be better - We wanted to have a simple, intuitive way to log the time we invest in our Jira Issues, maintain clear issue hierarchies and easily analyze our efforts vs estimations. So we decided to build it ourselves - The PTIAS desktop companion for Jira was born.
But why are we doing this?
Because we feel the pains - Years of leading R&D teams and managing several projects in Jira taught us that time management and effort tracking are some of the most challenging aspects of project management. Did you release on time? with 100% of the content? Can you really estimate your velocity? Can you put a price tag on that feature?
Wait? Is that it ?!
Not really, We explored several annoying issues that noone wants to deal with - like maintaining GANNT charts based on Jira Issues - it's impossible to create all the links/dependancies between each and every issue you create, so we solved that and also added a LINKS MAP featureand some analysis features and we still have more ideas and features to launch in the near future! So stay tuned, because we are coming back with more!

Privacy & Security
We worked according to Atlassian's security guidelines and best practices to make sure our app is secure and respects your privacy. We do NOT save an of your tokens or Jira Issues contents on our server, those are kept on your desktop and communicated between your desktop clients and your Jira server only.

As a Customer Admin, you set when the app reminds the users (Also per team / user) to log their work. Just don't have it nagging them after reasonable working hours 😉
